Credible Threat is a collection of collaborative artists committed to exploring challenging contemporary social issues through performance.
Preferring intimate communal spaces and minimalist production values, Credible Threat places the audience at the center of the experience to affirm and celebrate these occasions of theater at which the community performs itself for itself in order to know itself.
Our source material ranges from adaptations of classic science fiction novels (Dune), Greek and Roman Tragedies (Seneca, Cry Fury), to original contemporary texts (S2, Antigone’s Nation, Tent City Planet) and performance art (Shearwater River, Sleepwalking Apocalypse).
Credible Threat project performances are free to the public. If you are interested in following our work, please give us your email address and we will make sure you are notified about future projects. As we rely on the kindness of strangers (and friends!) to help us create projects that are off the the usual grid, we gladly accept donations to help defray the cost of renting rehearsal and performance spaces.
